WRIST ICONS is proud to bring you a really rare Cartier Tank. The full name of this model is the Cartier Tank Arrondie Mecanique Extra-PLate Or Jaune. Arrondie is French for rounded and OJ stands for Or Jaune or yellow gold. This model is also supposed to be worn by Alain Delon as shown on a really famous picture where Alain Delon and Jean-Pierre Melville, comparing their Tank watches on the set of Un Flic (Dirty Money), 1972. But that’s still a bit strange since the Arrondie was designed in 1976 and in 1977 they started selling this model. I quess that the watch on that picture is actually a Cartier Reverso or named by Cartier the RÉVERSIBLE.
The watch has been produce by Ebel la Chaux-de-Fonds. Until 1972, Cartier watches were produced in France and equipped with Swiss movements. In 1972, Cartier finds a company with impeccable credentials, Ebel, in Neuchâtel; a master of watchmaking that is able to match Cartier’s ambitious new plans.
This particular Cartier Tank has just undergone a full service. This work was carried out by our watchmaker using original parts.
As with all of our pre-owned watches this watch comes with a full 12 month WRIST ICONS warranty that will be invoked from the day of purchase. Please check our website to have a look at the high resolution pictures on a macro level. You will see every detail at its best.
