History:

In 2016 Jaeger-leCoultre celebrated the 85 anniversary of the Reverso watch

The history of the Reverso goes back to 1930. In that year British soldiers in India challenged Swiss businessman César de Trey to create a watch that could endure the perils of polo. So French designer René-Alfred Chauvot invented a case that flipped 180 degrees to hide the crystal. T The next year Jacques-David LeCoultre partnered with Jaeger S.A. and came up with an elegant solution to protect those fragile crystals—an ingenious timepiece whose case swiveled back-to-front so the dial would be hidden. The watch was later named the Reverso—Latin for "I turn around."

CASE:This watch is in exceptional condition. and has almost no signs of wear. The inscriptions are Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso 250. 8 .08. It is a turnable case made of stainless steel with a sapphire crystal. Size case is 23 x 38.5mm diameter (excluding crown): Height: 7,4mm

DIAL:The dial is nearly flawless, the blue swords hands have no signs of wear.

MOVEMENT:Underneath that is the quartz movement, caliber 608,  originally made by Jaeger-LeCoultre. Calibre 608 is an ultra-thin quartz watch movement from Jaeger-LeCoultre. Introduced in 1982, Calibre 608 set a new record as Jaeger-LeCoultre's thinnest watch movement at just 1.6 mm. Functions, Hour, Minute
