History of the
The Omega Speedmaster "Speedy Tuesday" Moonwatch was introduced in a numbered limited edition in 2017 to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the #speedytuesday phenomenon. For half a decade, an online community of #SpeedyTuesday fans has been steadily growing around the world. In tribute to these chronograph devotees, OMEGA is proud to introduce a new Limited Edition model that blends some of the Speedmaster’s most popular design features.

Design
The “Speedy Tuesday” takes its first design influence from the original 1978 “Speedmaster Alaska III” model. This watch was produced for NASA, who insisted on a watch that was anti-reflective and easy-to-read in space. For that reason, the “Speedy Tuesday” has stayed true to these qualities with a brushed matt-finish stainless steel case and radial sub dials with enlarged numerals.

Condition
The watch has been gently used. The watch comes with a full set. Only the leather strap has been used. The case back still has its original sticker on it with the blue seal. The NATO strap remains unworn. It comes with original box, leather watch roll, NATO strap, strap-change tool, and papers dated September 2017. Email us about this watch or trade for this watch

Case
The 42mm diameter solid three-body case, gently curved lugs, and flat fixed bezel, are polished/brushed and it's water resistant to 10 meters/165 feet. The 14mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.
The case hasa domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on the inside. There is a matte winding crown with polished Omega logo, round chronograph push buttons,

Caseback
The Speedy Tuesday 1 has a solid screw down case back embossed with the original 1962 Omega Seahorse emblem, as well as "SPEEDY TUESDAY ANNIVERSARY" and "A TRIBUTE TO ALASKA PROJECT III".

Bezel
The flat black aluminum top ring bezel has a tachymeter graduation to 500 UPH.

Dial and hands
The dial is black with luminous baton hour indices around a white perimeter minute/one-fifth second track. It has rhodium-plated sword hands with luminous inserts, and a center sweep luminous chronograph hand. There are three white "pie tin" recessed subsidiary dials with black Arabic numeral markers and hands, including a running small seconds. register at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute chronograph totalizer at 3 o'clock, and there is a 12-hour chronograph indicator at 6 o'clock.

Movement
This Omega Speedmaster "Speedy Tuesday" Limited Edition Moonwatch 311.32.42.30.01.001 has a mechanical manual winding Omega caliber 1861 (base Lemania 1873) movement that's rhodium-plated. It's constructed with 18 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and an index regulator. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (4 Hz). It has a 45-hour power reserve at full wind
