Writs Icons give a 1-year guarantee on all watches from the date stated on the receipt. This guarantee does not include waterproofing, winders and push buttons, glass, bracelet and buckle. This guarantee also excludes any damage as a consequence of incorrect use, impact from and any damage caused by the owner or third parties.
We know the value of security, so every pre-owned watch we sell comes with a 12-month warranty alongside any remaining manufacturer's warranty it may also have. Should your watch stop working properly through no fault of your own then we shall repair it free of charge for the duration of your warranty. Please note our warranty doesn’t apply to new watches.
How the Warranty Works
If a problem arises with a warranted product as a result of either of Wrist Icons work or parts provided by its technicians, and within the twelve-month (12) period following initial Wrist Icons services, Wrist Icons will repair or replace any damaged parts and/or correct the repair execution at its sole discretion. Following this intervention, the Wrist Icons twelve-month (12) service warranty will apply from the date of the timepiece’s documented in-person retrieval by owner or shipment from offices of Wrist Icons. If you have any remaining manufacturer's warranty, then you can send your watch to them for repair either via us or via an authorised retailer.
If your watch is covered by a Wrist Icons Warranty but not the manufacturer's warranty, then we will undertake the repairs in conjunction with the manufacturer where necessary.
If your watch is not covered by any warranty then you can send it in to us for a quote. Any work undertaken by us will be covered by a further 12-month Wrist Icons Warranty.
Please note that our warranty covers manufacturing and mechanical defects only. The warranty is personal to you and non-transferable. All warranties will be registered to the postal address provided to us by you. Please update us as soon as you change your home address, email address and/or telephone number.
Exclusions and condition of the watch
Our warranty is subject to the same terms and conditions as the manufacturer warranty. The standard manufacturer warranty does not cover theft or loss of the watch. Normal wear-and-tear or damage caused to the watch by accidents or mishandling/mistreatment are also excluded, as well as damage caused to a watch due to submersion in water which is against the manufacturer's guidance. In particular, wear of the watch strap is not covered by the warranty.
Any modification of a watch by the addition or substitution of components by aftermarket products which have not been provided by the manufacturer will also invalidate the warranty. The use of aftermarket components can severely compromise the technical performance, reliability and waterproofness of the watch.
Warranty return packs are sent directly to the Service Centre, however you are free to deliver your warranty return to any Wrist Icons premises where it will be forwarded along to the service centre directly. Please be advised that warranty return packs must be adequately insured at your own expense. The warranty is in addition to your statutory and common law rights.
